Alan Grant, featured in the video above, is the host and patron of our African Music Dinners.  They take place at his beautiful home in Higgovale, on the slopes of Table Mountain.

A magnificent evening of people and food and music - curated especially for you. Held at a residence with an award winning 5 level garden built on the slopes of Table Mountain, the home of Alan Grant is a heritage paradise in the city, a place of magic. Enjoy the garden, and dine at the Chef's table, with food prepared by the eccentric and loving brilliance of Chef Jason Yankees, and presided over by patron Alan Grant.

Each evening begins with an appetiser on arrival, at the top of the garden. It's a wonderful way to enjoy the sunset.

We then descend into the courtyard and the kitchen for a feast of Cape Town foods, spanning the various traditions of the city: Malay, Xhosa, Afrikaner.

The centre-point of each music dinner is an exclusive music performance. We bring in some of the city's finest musicians for an intimate concert that is part performance and part conversation. A great way to get inside the music of the city.

For the guests wanting an expansive and moving experience of Cape Town, with food and music and a magical setting, there isn't a better way. For those wanting something fresh after years of themed African restaurants, this is the perfect option.
